| Union home minister P Chidambaram's relative murder case solved Jul 19, 11 |

CHENNAI: Chennai police on Tuesday claimed to have solved the murder of a software engineer C Nachal (26) by arresting a construction labourer Muthu alias Marimuthu (27) of Thiruvanmiyur.
Police picked him up from his house on Monday for questioning and he confessed to having committed the murder for stealing money.
Muthu had been working as a construction labour at the neighbour's house. Police recovered 2 gold bangles, gold mangalsutra, Rs 5000 and her mobile was recovered from the accused. On last Sunday, Union home minister P Chidambaram visited Nachal's house and consoled her family members. The victim Nachal is a close relative of Chidambaram.
