CHENNAI: Speakers recalled the contributions made by Kumara Rani Dr. Meena Muthiah to the fields of education, art and culture here on Saturday at a function to mark her 75th birthday. M.A.M. Ramaswamy, industrialist said that in last 30 years she devoted most of her time for the improvement of Chettinad Vidyashram. When the school was started, there were only 16 students. Today, its strength was 9,000. He attributed her success to sincerity and integrity. Saradha Nambi Arooran, State Information Commissioner and Sukhi Sivam, popular orator was present.
