NEWS REPORT: Singapore Nagarathar Sanga Malaysia Tour  Aug 4, 23

Singapore Nagarthar Sangam organised a three days Malaysia devotional tour on 28/7/2023.

They visited a place, called Maran, where Marathandavar Temple ( மரத்தாண்டவர்) is located. (400 kms from Singapore). It is a nice temple, surrounded by forest.
Around 120 years ago, a road was being built from Kuala Lumpur to Quantan. Many trees were cut to make new road. As one Rudraksha tree was being cut, the tree began to bleed as it was wounded.
At that time our Tamil people were engaged in road work by British rule. They informed about this to British Supervisor, who refused to stop the laying of road.
Suddenly a child appeared miraculously on th trunk of the tree and disappeared.
Then the road was laid away from the tree and the Rudraksha tree was spared. Tamil people planted a VEL at the base of a tree. After that the tree with Vel became sacred.
Now the Rudraksha tree is now dead. However the remains of the tree are preserved in inner sanctum of temple In 1998, a new temple was built

They also went Kuala Lumpur Pathumalai Murugan Temple and Sentul Sri Dhandayuthapani Temple. The Admin Team arranged good transport, food and nice stay during the tour
