very soft & delicious food
 
Required Ingredients:
 
rice - 3/4 cup
moong dal -1/4 cup
pepper- 1sp
cumin seed - 1sp
dalda (or) ghee- 1 sp
asafoetida - 1 pinch
finely choped ginger - 1 pinch
curry leaves , cashewnuts - 10 nos
salt
milk - 1/4 cup
 
Cooking Instruction:
 
wash rice and dal, add 3 cups of water and make it boil. aft few minutes add pepper and cumin seed, and salt. afterwards add milk and make it boil nicely. after nicely boiled smash it. another side put a small vessel add dalda/ghee , ginger , cashew, asafoetida and curry leaves.
put these all in the boiled smashed pongal.
if don't want full pepper and cumin seeds , make it a powder and put last along with ghee/dalda
