Parrupu thuvaiyal made using moong dhal or pasi parrupu is good for health and is also very tasty
 
Required Ingredients:
 
Required Items

Pasi parrupu or Moong dhal - 1 cup
Garlic pods -3
red chillies -2
Salt - as required
Coconut - grated coconut little
 
Cooking Instruction:
 
1. Roast the Moong dhal or passi parupu to red without adding oil in a kadai
Roast it in low flame so that the raw smell goes and it turns red. Stir it uniformly so that the whole of dhal is roasted well
2. All the dhal to cool
3, Add garlic, red chillies, salt and coconut if required to the dhal and grind well. Do not add water till the ingredients are powdered and then grind them. Not required to add too much of water as it is thuviayal

This goes well with kara kulambu
